Ted in Lima 2008
After training Ted worked in the building industry in London before returning to New Zealand to manage a construction company. Senior positions in manufacturing and exporting followed which saw him doing business in North Asia, including Japan and Hong Kong.
In 1999 Ted began part time study towards a Doctor of Philosophy degree undertaking research among specialised processed food exporters. He completed his PhD in 2003. Building on technical writing he’d done for firms in North Asia and his academic research Ted began reporting on management and travel.
In addition to his writing work, Ted is a voluntary business mentor. Ted’s writing has appeared in New Zealand, Australia and Europe in publications such as: AA Directions, Whakatane Beacon, Progressive Building, ReNew, Exporter and Southern Ocean Review
